We are delighted to welcome Wynns Coonawarra Estate to Florentino for a special wine dinner on Thursday 13th August, celebrating one of Australia’s most historic and iconic wineries.
Hosted in the Wynn Room at Florentino, named after Samuel Wynn who purchased the winery in 1951, the evening will bring together the shared heritage of Florentino and Wynns Coonawarra Estate in a truly unique setting.
Founded on the famous terra rossa soils of Coonawarra, Wynns has played a defining role in shaping the reputation of Australian Cabernet Sauvignon since the 1950s. Today, the estate remains the largest single vineyard holder in Coonawarra and continues to produce wines recognised for their purity, structure and remarkable ageing potential.
For this special evening, guests will enjoy an exceptional line-up of wines showcasing some of the winery’s most iconic cuvées, alongside a selection of back vintages highlighting the extraordinary ageability and evolution of Wynns wines over time. The tasting will offer a rare opportunity to explore the depth, character and heritage of Coonawarra through one of its benchmark producers.
The evening will be hosted by Wynns winemaker Chris Plummer, who will guide guests through the wines and share insights into the vineyards, vintages and winemaking philosophy behind the estate.
Guests will also enjoy a specially curated menu designed by Florentino Executive Chef Brendan Katich, created to complement the elegance and structure of the wines throughout the evening.
We look forward to sharing a memorable night of food, wine and history at Florentino!
